Every aspiring football player has daydreamed of throwing or catching a beautiful spiraling pass for a touchdown or breaking a 99-yard touchdown run as a feature tailback. Maybe some have their sights set on snatching an interception as a defensive back or linebacker and jetting for a touchdown return.
Hardly anyone has fantasizes about being a left tackle and throwing a key chip block to afford a quarterback an extra second to stand in the pocket.
Offensive lineman are the kings of the gridiron when it comes to guts over glory. It may seem like a difficult position for a football player to make a name for himself, but one county high school standout has done that, and then some.
Beltsville resident Cyrus Kouandjio of DeMatha High is one of the nation's most-sought-after recruits this fall.
