River Hill moves to No. 5
When the only loss from members of last week's Top 25 is to another ranked school, the net result is little change in the rankings.
While the names stayed the same this week, the order was slightly altered by the following three items: one team's lack of games, another team's repeated close calls and, of course, last week's No. 16 beating No. 12.
The key moves this week include River Hill and Calvert Hall flip-flopping places, with River Hill moving into the No. 5 spot. Huntingtown moves up a few spots after a win over fellow Top 25-ranked Patuxent. The big move, however, was a five-spot drop for Eastern Christian Academy, which has played only one game in the past six weeks. Two voters, citing a lack of games played, didn't even vote for ECA. If ECA fails to play this week, it will be dropped completely from the rankings since it will not meet the minimum number of games played that the same voting panel uses to consider players for All-State honors.
