Big Cat Quotebook I

Approximately 25 of Auburn's top targets in the 2012 recruiting class were on the Plains Saturday for Big Cat Weekend III. Here is what several of the prospects had to say about their experience at Auburn.

DL Tyler Nero, Atmore, Ala.

"It was good. We played a couple of games, danced a little bit and just had fun. Like they said, we didn't do much pertaining to football, but it was fun. I got to talk to Coach Chizik and that went good.

"I had more fun than any other visit. They put more stuff into the visit, made it more fun than visiting for a game. I still got the adrenaline rush, though.

"They stand out like they have been standing out. Nothing has really changed. I think they are a great school and I think it would be a great choice if I decided to go there. I think I would progress a lot more, become a better football player if I came here.

"Auburn, Alabama, Florida and Arkansas are my top schools. I'll probably make a decision in July."

RB Barry Sanders, Oklahoma City, Okla.

"The watermelon eating contest was pretty cool, and the dance-off. I'm not a dancer, but they got me to bust a couple moves. It was a good time. Looking forward to getting back and seeing how that visit goes.

"(Big Cat) is definitely more relaxed. Seeing some of the other top guys, getting out there and bustin' a move, having a good time, having a smile on their faces. Anytime you're having fun, you look forward to coming back. This is something I will remember and I look forward to experiencing it again.

"I like Auburn because they are committed to what they're trying to do. It's a family. They made that very clear. And that's important when you're trying to win a championship. You know, the family atmosphere, just seeing how everyone, especially the coaches, just like being around one another."

DE Denico Autry, Scooba, Miss. (JUCO)

"It went pretty good. I liked it. I just hung out with some of the players (DE Nosa Eguae). It was pretty fun. We went to the stadium. I did the pie-eating contest. I got disqualified for throwing pie on the ground.

"But I liked the visit. I like the way they treat you. It's a family."

"Auburn is pretty high on my list right now. I'm also looking at Alabama, Miami and Texas. I'll graduate in December so I plan to make my decision Dec. 15."
