January 22, 2013 Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, Va.) sophomore Alejandra Obregon has verbally committed to play women's lacrosse for the University of North Carolina.The 5-foot-9 midfielder was the 2012 Patriot District Player of the Year in additon to being named Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention for her play in the WCAC last season. The sophomore plays club lacrosse with M&D. Obregon becomes the second player in Bishop Ireton's 2015 class to commit to a Division I college; joining Charlotte Sofield who also committed to UNC.
